  The Order of Our Lady of Mercy, on account of its apostolate and its fourth vow of redemption, always considered Jesus Christ in his aspect of Redeemer as "the teacher and exemplar of the Mercedarian religious."  As time went by this devotion to Christ the Redeemer was enriched by the Church with the particular feast of the Most Holy Redeemer for the Order.  This feast was authorized in 1731.

• 94th Annual Italian Festival

  Our Lady of Mt. Carmel invites you to the 94th Annual Italian Festival which runs July 10th-12th. There will be authentic Italian food, rides for the children, games, and live music. The fun begins each weekday at 5pm. On Saturday and Sunday you can come early at 1pm. Sunday we have the feast day Mass at 11:30am followed by the a procession through the "Old Neighborhood".
