Saint Serapion, Religious and Martyr Special Mass at 8:15 AM
Saint Serapion, of English origin, was born about the year 1178. Serapion took part in the Third and Fifth Crusades against the Moors. In Spain, this English saint came in contact with the Order of Mercy, and in 1222 he joined it. Serapion took part in various redemptions; in one of them, he gave himself as a hostage, and was crucified like Saint Andrew the Apostle, in 1240. He was a religious of extraordinary holiness with an ardent love for the redemption of captives.
